“It’s Time We Set Our Priorities Straight”
|
|
|
Rudy Binder-
Republican-At-Large Candidate
Guilford County Commissioners |
|
|

|

Are you as fed-up as I am
with watching the Democratic majority on our Commission vote for
boondoggle projects, give away one sided contracts, unfunded
mandates and spend their time on nonsense that doesn’t benefit any
of us, including their own constituencies. Then join me as we set
new common-sense priorities and take back the majority position in
November.

It’s easy for
politicians to tell you what you want to hear. They know what
issues are on most Guilford citizens “get this done or stop spending
on this” list, so why don’t they listen? There are a number of
reasons and it is my intent to lay them out for you from now through
November. I’ll show you how the poor priority setting by the
present commissioners, in particular those who hold the voting
majority, have cost all of us. Then I will offer you workable
solutions.
Why should you
choose, Rudy Binder? Why trust me to set priorities? These are
important questions that need answering and you will be getting
concrete answers to these and your other questions throughout this
campaign.
Let’s start
with, why Rudy Binder?
-
I have been a
successful small business owner in Guilford for over 35 years.
How does that impact you and everyone who lives in Guilford
County? It means that all those years of negotiating
contracts, spending money wisely, making payrolls, meeting budgets
and timelines, hiring and firing personnel, developing
construction projects worth millions of dollars and working with
diverse groups of people in North Carolina and elsewhere, will be
put to use benefiting Guilford citizens.

As your County
Commissioner and having been a successful business man in Guilford
County for over thirty five years I will bring my experience in
(negotiating contracts, meeting budgets, hiring and firing
personnel, development of construction projects, meeting elected
officials and municipal staff in various states and communities as a
normal course of my business to see that our citizens get value (not
inflated salaries for bureaucrats, boondoggle projects, unfunded
mandates, and one sided incentive packages that don’t favor our
citizens) to allocate dollars wisely, either do no more incentives
until the contracts are heavily weighted in favor of the citizens as
well as the company and taking the tax burden off existing
businesses. It is up to me as County Commissioner to look at how our
tax dollars are being spent and work with the citizens getting the
job done whether it is education, economic development, health,
safety and public welfare.
Do we want more taxes
or do we want to spend tax dollars wisely? How would you like your
tax dollars spent? |
